How to Install Your Neon Sign

Congratulations on your new Neonify sign! Setting it up takes just a few minutes. Follow the steps below to get your sign glowing safely and securely.

What's Included in Your Package

  • LED neon sign
  • Power adapter (12V DC)
  • Mounting hardware (screws and wall anchors)
  • Clear acrylic backing panel
  • Hanging wire or chain (if applicable)

Installation Options

Your Neonify sign can be displayed in two ways:

Option 1 — Wall Mount (Recommended)

  1. Choose your location. Pick a flat wall surface away from water, direct sunlight, and heat sources. Make sure there is a power outlet nearby.
  2. Mark your holes. Hold the sign against the wall and lightly mark the mounting hole positions with a pencil.
  3. Drill and insert anchors. Use a drill to make small holes at the marked points. Insert the wall anchors provided.
  4. Screw in the standoffs. Thread the screws into the anchors, leaving about 5mm of space from the wall — this gap creates the iconic floating glow effect.
  5. Hang the sign. Align the mounting holes on the acrylic backing with the screws on the wall and press into place.
  6. Plug in and enjoy. Connect the power adapter to the sign and plug into a standard wall outlet. Your sign is now live.

Option 2 — Hang with Wire or Chain

  1. Thread the hanging wire or chain through the holes at the top of the acrylic backing panel.
  2. Secure both ends to hooks or a nail on the wall or ceiling.
  3. Ensure the sign hangs level and is stable before plugging in.
  4. Connect the power adapter and plug into a wall outlet.

Power Requirements

  • Input: 100–240V AC (standard US outlet)
  • Output: 12V DC (adapter included)
  • Energy consumption: Very low — LED neon uses 80% less power than traditional glass neon

Do not use any power adapter other than the one provided. Using an incompatible adapter may damage the sign and will void your warranty.

Safety Tips

  • Keep the sign away from water and high humidity areas (not suitable for bathrooms or outdoor use unless specified)
  • Do not bend, cut, or modify the LED neon tubing
  • Do not leave the sign on unattended for extended periods when first installed — monitor for the first hour to ensure everything is working properly
  • If the sign flickers or does not turn on, check that all connectors are firmly plugged in before contacting support
  • Keep out of reach of young children

Troubleshooting

Issue Solution
Sign does not turn on Check that the power adapter is fully plugged in at both ends. Try a different outlet.
Sign flickers Check all connector cables between the adapter and the sign. Ensure they are firmly connected.
Only part of the sign lights up This may indicate a manufacturing defect. Contact us for a warranty replacement.
Sign is dim Ensure you are using the included 12V adapter. A lower-voltage adapter will cause dimness.
